His Holiness the 17th Karmapa, Trinley Thaye
Dorje, Head of the Karma
Kagyu School of Tibetan Buddhism visited the Stupa and gave to an
audience of 1400 people from all over the world the Initiation on White
Tara , the female aspect for Long Life and Will Power.The great event
was also attended by high Lamas like Jigmela Rinpoche and Lama Ole
Nydahl. The day 7th th of June was especially auspicious for buddhist
all around the world: it was the anniversary of the historical Buddha
Sakyamuni Enlightenment and Mahaparanirvana.

Two tibetan high lamas: 4th reincarnation of
Jamgon Kongtrul Rinpoche
and his Father Beru Khyenste Rinpoche visited the Stupa. Jamgon
Kongtrul Rinpoche gave the Empowerment on the Buddha of Long Life
"Amitayus" and Beru Khyenste Rinpoche gave the Empowerment on Buddha of
Prosperity and Wealth "Dzambala".

Mipham Rinpoche and His wife Mayumla visited the
Stupa and gave
teachings about "The Four Basic Thoughts in Buddhism".
Rinpoche also made wishes for everybody on the auspicious occasion of
the New Year 2009.

Display of a 15 meters x 12
meters big tanka, representing Guru
Rinpoche with his two main Consorts: Yeshe Tsogyal and Mandarava and
His Eight Emanations. The tanka, a unique masterpiece of tibetan
religious art, was hand woven in silk during 2 years in the Kingdom of
Bhutan.

Since August 2004 ar given
open talks to the general public, on the
introduction to the buddhist philosophy in the meditation hall of the
Stupa. Every Sunday, late afternoon, a different topic is presented by
a tibetan lama or a western buddhist teacher.

The
Stupa was distinguished with 2 important prices on the 3rd edition
of prices in the province of Malaga by theFinanciera y Minera
Arquitectura Construccion de Malaga.
In the category of the most unique works done in Malaga the technical
team led by architect Wojtek Kossowski was selected with the project of
the Stupa for the 1st price.
In the category of economical development and social unique activities
the 1st price from Malaga province was also granted to the Stupa.

Visit
of the monks from Rumtek Monastery in Sikkim (North India) who
performed Lama Dances and conducted buddhist prayers in the meditation
hall.

on the Buddha Chenresig, the Loving-Eyes Buddha, given by
H.H. Gyalwa Karmapa at the Stupa to 1.500 people.

Trinlay Thaye Dorje, the Head of the Karma Kagyu School of Buddhism.

by H.H. Kunzig Shamar Rinpoche who during during His stay
inaugurated together with the city Mayor Enrique Bolín Pérez-Argemí the
first exhibition at the Stupa called "Buddhist Himalayas". The
exhibition was open to the public for 8 months and thousands of
visitors had the unique opportunity to get acquainted with the culture,
traditions and religion from the countries of the "Roof of the World".

More than 3.500 visitors from 38 countries attended the ceremony in
Benalmádena including among others members of the Diamond Way Buddhism
Organizations from Australia, Austria, Germany, Israel, Poland, Russia,
the United Kingdom and the United States.
